Roof Cleaning
Effective roof maintenance is paramount to the longevity and appeal of your property. Choosing CORE Grounds Maintenance for roof cleaning services means safeguarding your investment and upholding the condition of your roof. Our professional services are tailored to enhance the performance and visual allure of your roofing so it endures throughout the years and protects the property itself.
Assessment
We will always begin with a preliminary assessment of the condition of your roof to ascertain the measures that need to be taken and how best to go about cleaning it. Roofs can often become overwhelmed by debris, harsh weather that carries leaves, promotes moss and lichen, bird nests and droppings, and other such nuisances. Our team will assess these variables, along with the material the roof is made from, and draw up a plan to suit the cleaning of it.

Safety Precautions
Before cleaning can begin, safety precautions must be observed. This will include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), checking all tools are in proper working order, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents, such as setting up barriers and ensuring stable ladders. MEWPs or towers are also in place to boost safety.

Debris Removal
Our first step in cleaning roofs is to remove any loose debris like leaves, twigs, and clumps of moss. This is done with various brushes to prevent clogging in gutters or causing damage to the roof.

Cleaning Solutions
Depending on the type of roof and the nature of the staining, suitable cleaning solutions are selected. These solutions are often environmentally conscious and designed to break down algae, lichen, moss, and other contaminants.

Application and Dwell Time
A cleaning solution is carefully applied to the surface of the roof and left to dwell for a specified period, wherein it will break down and loosen grime and stains.

Washing
This takes place through either scraping or low-pressure washing to remove moss and restore colour. We use Skyscraper scrapers by Spinaclean, or telescopic poles to clean with water at a low pressure. Both of these methods include a post-biocide treatment to prevent further organic growth.

Inspection
After cleaning, the roof is inspected for any remaining stains or debris and, if necessary, additional cleaning or spot treatments are applied.

Clean-Up and Client Approval
The work area is thoroughly cleaned and all equipment and debris is removed from the property. We will then get the final approval from the client.
