Pressure Washing

We revitalise the exterior of your home with high-pressure washing techniques to remove dirt, grime, and build-up, leaving your property looking as good as new. Discover the transformative power of pressure washing with CORE Grounds Maintenance, and let your home shine.

How We Pressure Wash

Pressure washing home exteriors involves using a high-pressure water spray of up to 3000psi to clean and rejuvenate various surfaces around your property. This effective cleaning method can be used on materials such as brick, concrete, slabs, wood and more.

Preparation

Before starting, the area is prepared by removing any obstacles, ensuring nearby plants and delicate surfaces are protected, and inspecting for any loose or damaged materials.

Equipment Set-Up

We use pressure washers with the appropriate settings and nozzles for the task at hand and the material that is being washed, and connect the water supply.

Cleaning Solution

In some cases, a cleaning solution may be applied to the surface to help break down tough stains, mold, or mildew. These solutions are not harmful to the material being washed, nor to the surrounding environment.

Pressure Washing

The high-pressure stream of water is directed onto the surface, effectively removing dirt, grime, algae, moss, and other contaminants.

Adjusting Pressure

The pressure level is adjusted depending on the material being cleaned to avoid damage. For example, wood may require lower pressure than concrete.

Thorough Cleaning

We systematically cleans the entire area, ensuring even coverage and paying special attention to heavily soiled or stained spots.

Rinsing

After cleaning, the surface is thoroughly rinsed to remove any remaining cleaning solution and leftover debris.

Final Inspection

A final inspection is conducted to ensure the desired results have been achieved. Any missed spots or areas are addressed.

Clean-Up

Equipment is safely disconnected, and any protective coverings or barriers are removed. The area is left clean and ready for use.

Post-Cleaning Care

Dependent on the material, there are many different options available to the customer such as sealants or protective coatings to maintain the cleanliness and prolong the effects of the pressure washing.

Additional Extras

Kiln-dried Sand

Our kiln-dried sand is advised as a minimum extra when your block paving has been cleaned. By filling the joints with sand it keeps the structure of the paving rigid and strong. It also stops the ingress of water and prevents weed growth.

Imprinted Concrete

Sealing

Our imprinted concrete sealer will provide lasting protection to the concrete and reduce the risk of oil staining. Our coloured concrete sealer tints can also be used to transform older imprinted concrete driveways and patios back to their original condition.

Tarmac Sealer

Our tarmac sealer rejuvenates the colour and reintroduces weather-resistant resin into the tarmac without changing the texture of the surface. The sealer is acrylic polymer-based and solvent-free, available in black, red and green.

Block Paving Sealer

Our block paving sealer helps to inhibit weed growth and improves oil stain resistance while protecting the block paving, available in clear, black, red, tan, grey and dark grey in either matt or satin.

Brick Sealer

Our brick sealer is an excellent water-resistant and damp-proofing treatment for brickwork and masonry which allows the substrate to breathe and has a hydrophobic brick waterproofing effect that means any water is repelled immediately.

Natural Stone Sealer

Our natural stone sealer is suitable for Indian sandstone, limestone, slate, granite and travertine. The impregnating sealers absorb into the stone, leaving the stone breathable, to prevent any moisture within becoming trapped. Available in either a wet or dry look, or as a colour enhancer.

Roof Sealer

Our water-resistant roof sealer negates the harmful effects of UV light. Once dry, the concrete tiles will be left looking beautiful and benefit from years of weather protection. The waterproof paint will also mitigate the regrowth of moss, algae and lichen. Available in anthracite, slate grey, terracotta, deep tan, rustic red, burgundy, mahogany and black.

Wood Sealer

Our wood sealer creates an invisible waterproof barrier that will help prevent the ingress of moisture on pressure-treated softwoods such as fences, sheds, garden furniture and decking. The wood sealer is specially formulated to inhibit the growth and spread of mould and algae while protecting your outdoor wooden surfaces for up to 10 years.
